Multivitamins may diminish the risk of relapse and death in women with breast cancer. Researchers with Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center found that women with breast cancer who took multivitamins with minerals were 29% less likely to have a recurrence of the disease and 22% less likely to die from breast cancer than their counterparts who did not take multivitamins.
Multivitamins appears to especially benefit women undergoing radiation treatment," said researcher Heather Greenlee, ND, PhD, according to MedicineNet.com in news released December 19, 2010.
The findings indicate a correlation, but not necessarily a causation. Edith Perez, MD, director of the breast cancer program at the Mayo Clinic, points out that certain other factors could have had an influence on the data; for example, women who exercise and maintain a healthy diet are more likely to take vitamins.
Researchers also found that women who took multivitamins with minerals prior to diagnosis and continued taking them at least three times a year afterward were 31% less likely to have a recurrence and 27% less likely to die from the disease.
Greenley says a followup study called Pathway will monitor the effects of multivitamins with minerals on 4,500 women with breast cancer.

INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTOR PRE-LAUNCH APPLICATION AND AGREEMENT
Applicant Information / Referror or Sponsor Information
1. Pre-launch Applicant (“Applicant") understands that JDI Nutritionals (JDIN) is preparing to launch a referral network marketing program to market wellness products. JDIN is in the process of designing and programming of its compensation plan, the Terms and Conditions of its Independent Business Owner (“IBO”) Agreement and the policies and procedures that shall govern the relationship between JDIN and its IBOs. Applicant further understands that there are numerous operational and infrastructure components that JDIN has yet to implement before the company is ready to fully launch its program.
2. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Applicant wishes to enroll to become a prospective IBO with JDIN in this pre-launch stage leading up to the official launch of JDIN referral network marketing. The sole and exclusive purpose of the pre-launch phase is to allow persons interested in becoming JDIN IBOs to begin enrolling other prospective Independent contractor IBOs to fall within their JDIN pre-launch down line once the JDIN network is launched. To reserve a spot In the program, the Applicant must make a payment of $29.95 for the JDIN Daily Vitamin & Minerals With Stem Cell Nutrition Support (DVMSC) product plus a $10 Registration fee or a total of $39.95 by check made payable through PayPal to Emergent Health Corp., the parent of the JDIN Division. These monies will be held in an escrow savings account and may be refunded to the Applicant upon request prior to the official launch for any reason the Applicant specifies. If used, they will be used to fill first month product fulfillment and first year registration that will include sales materials. Payments are to be delivered and properly recorded.
3. Applicant may begin taking JDIN pre-launch IBO Distributor applications from prospective JDIN IBO Distributors in order to build his/her prospective JDIN down line organization. JDIN shall use its best efforts to secure the down line structure desired by Applicant based upon the pre-launch applications submitted by IBO Distributors. However, Applicant understands and agrees that because JDIN compensation plan and the software programming is in process, JDIN will use its best efforts to guarantee that Applicant's down line genealogy will appear as Applicant desires or intends. Applicant waives any and all claims against JDIN, its officers, directors, owners, employees and agents for any loss or damage arising from or relating to down line IBO Distributor placements within the structure of Applicant's JDIN down line organization.
4. Once JDIN officially launches its program, all pre-launch applicants must execute a JDIN IBO Distributor Agreement, agreeing to the terms and conditions contained in the Distributor Agreement, the policies and procedures incorporated therein, and the JDIN compensation plan. The terms of the IBO Distributor Agreement and Policies and Procedures shall supersede the terms of this pre-launch agreement. Applicant must submit his/her properly completed JDIN IBO Distributor Application and Agreement to JDIN within ten days from the date on which the JDIN program Is officially launched (weekends and holidays are included in calculating the ten day submission deadline'. If an Applicant's properly completed IBO Distributor Application and Agreement is not received by JDIN by 8:00 p.m. EST on the tenth day after the official launch of the JDIN program, such Applicant will be purged from the JDIN system, moneys accepted will be returned to Applicant and Applicant shall not become a JDIN IBO Distributor. Any false or fraudulent enrollments or information submitted by any Applicant will result in JDIN's rejection of the submitting IBO Distributor's JDI IBO Distributor Application and Agreement.
5. Applicant understands that he/she is an Independent contractor and shall not be treated as an employee of JDIN for Federal or State Tax purposes, or for any other reason.
6. Applicant also understands JDIN will disclose patented and patent pending formulation information as well as proprietary corporate information to the named Applicant below, who will keep it confidential and not use or disclose to any third party other than working with the JDIN.
7. JDIN is under no obligation to accept an Applicant. JDIN reserves the right to terminate the pre-launch application of any individual or entity that engages in any activity that JDIN, in its sole discretion, deems contrary to JDIN’s interest.
8. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any action arising from or relating to this pre-launch agreement shall be held in the state courts located in Montgomery County, State of PA or the Federal Courts In Philadelphia, PA.
